Collection: Village Apothecary

Jo Maxey and her husband started Village Apothecary while she was pregnant with her first child. She has always been fascinated with deep, earthy, and unique candles but struggled with finding products that were safe for the family & home. As a hobby, she decided to hijack their kitchen and started testing her own candle formulas with coconut wax and clean fragrance oils  

After hundreds of hours of testing, she started producing candles that she was proud of. Now, candle-making is her full-time business and she hopes to be able to hire working mothers, students, and artists in the near future.
